The excellent location of our hostel will enable you to visit hundreds of places of artistic and cultural interest on foot, such as the Puerta de Sol, Plaza Mayor, Cathedral, Royal Palace, Plaza de España, Temple of Debod, museums in the Art Triangle of Madrid (Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofía museums), the Natural History Museum, the Archaeological Museum…

- You can visit other nearby cities and towns such as Toledo, Ávila, Segovia, Aranjuez, Alcalá de Henares…, which are just one hour away. You can either use your own vehicle or public transport (train or bus) which runs frequently, every half an hour for the most part of the day.
- You can spend a day at the zoo, the fun fair, the Warner Park… or strolling through the parks of the city, such as the Retiro, the Capricho Park, the Sabatini Gardens, the Casa de Campo, the Cuartel de la Montaña, the Planetarium and the Tierno Galván Park…
How to arrive in vehicle from the main directions ?
From the north:
- Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad).
- Once you are on the Paseo de la Castellana, go down it until you come to the end at Plaza de Colón and then carry on down the Paseo de Recoletos.
- When you get to Plaza de Cibeles take the Calle Alcalá and after a few metres the Gran Via begins on the right. You will find us just after passing the Plaza del Callao.
From the south:
- Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad).
- If you are on the M-30 take the exit for Plaza de España.
- Go up the Cuesta de San Vicente and turn right into Gran Vía.
From the west:
- 1.Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad).
- 1.Direction Plaza de España. Go up the Cuesta de San Vicente and turn right into Gran Vía.
From the east:
- Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad).
- Do not turn off until you get to Conde Casal.
- Continue along Avenida del Mediterráneo.
- Take the tunnel, following signs to Plaza de E (Plaza de España).
- When you get to Atocha, turn into the Paseo del Prado and go as far as Cibeles, turn left at the roundabout into Alcalá and then turn right into Gran Vía in the direction of Callao.
From the northeast:
- Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad), Moncloa.
- Take the Calle de la Princesa as far as Plaza de España and then Gran Vía in the direction of Callao.
From the airport:
- Follow signs to the city centre (centro ciudad), Avenida de América.
- From Avenida de América take Calle María de Molina as far as Paseo de la Castellana (on the left), which you will take as far as Colón.
- Carry on down the Paseo de Recoletos until Cibeles turn right into Calle de Alcalá and then take the Gran Via on the right in the direction of Callao.
How to arrive in public transport from the airport ?
Bus
The airport bus leaves the terminals every 15 minutes: it is fast and comfortable, with space for luggage. It takes 35 minutes. The price is €3.50 per person. The closest stop to us is Plaza de Ópera. You can walk to the hostel from Plaza de Ópera.
Taxi
Easily taken at the airport. It costs around €30. If you wish, there is a pick-up or airport transfer service by taxi which can be hired when making your reservation at a cost of €33 (closed price).
Metro
Take line 8 (pink) from the airport as far as Nuevos Ministerios. At Nuevos Ministerios change to line 10 (dark blue) as far as Plaza de España, and from there you can either exit the metro into Gran Via and walk to the hostel or change to line 3 (yellow, one stop) until Callao.
